ROUND 1: Taking photos off of an SD card

STEP 1

Get an SD card from Mrs. Prosser. Then, push it carefully into the slot on the back, right-side of the computer. The label should be on the top side when you push it in.

STEP 2

Look on your computer's desktop. You should see an icon has popped up that looks like an SD card. Double-click on it to open it up. The images you've taken are contained within it.

STEP 3

There are several folders inside. To get to your photos, open the DCIM folder, then the 100CANON folder.

STEP 4

There should be 5 photos for this practice assignment. Select them all by clicking and dragging a box around them. Then, drag them to your desktop to copy them to your desktop.

STEP 5

Eject the SD card before you remove it from the back of the computer. If you don't do this before you pull the card out, it can damage the files on the card. To eject, right-click on the SD card icon on the desktop. Then, select "Eject..." Once the SD card icon disappears, you can pull the card out!
